CNC MACHINE OPERATOR
We are seeking a talented and experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts specific to engineering drawings and client standards.

PFC's CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine operator is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines.

PFC's CNC operator's primary role is to program, simple setups, and oversee the operation of these machines to produce precise and accurate parts or components based on specific design requirements.

These are the characteristics PFC is looking for in a CNC machine operator:

Machine Setup:


  • Prepare and set up CNC machines for operation, including loading materials, installing cutting tools, and ensuring proper machine calibration.
  • Create or modify CNC machine programs
  • Translating engineering drawings or specifications into machine instructions to guide the cutting and shaping of materials.

Operation:


  • Operate CNC machines to execute programmed instructions and produce parts according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
  • Monitor machine operations, adjust settings as necessary, and perform periodic quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results
  • Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality
  • Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs
  • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part

Maintenance:


  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions that may arise during operation, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.

Quality Assurance:


  • Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards and make adjustments to machine settings or programs as required.

Documentation:


  • Maintain detailed production records, including machine settings, program revisions, and production output.
  • Complete inspection reports and other required documentation to track the manufacturing process and ensure traceability.

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to applicable regulations and standards related to machine operation, including occupational health and safety regulations.

Continuous Improvement:


  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancements, or cost savings in CNC operations.
  • Collaborate with supervisors or engineers to implement changes that optimize productivity and quality.

Work Environment:


  • Must feel comfortable with a fastpaced environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to selfreport.
  • Be punctual.
  • Must be able to stand for 810 hours shifts.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training or certifications may be required)
  • Experience in operating CNC machines and familiarity with CNC programming languages (e.g., Gcode)
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and metrology techniques
  • Ability to learn Shop Mathematics
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Adherence to safety protocols and procedures
