    Description

    Field Sales Engineer

    • Location: Central SE, TX, NE,KS, FL GA, NC, TN remote

    Position Summary:

    Seeking a driven and motivated sales engineer to join our team, focusing on growing business with existing customers and developing new business. This position will involve applications engineering, sales support, and field service work. Sales Engineers should be comfortable working in a result-driven, creative, and fast-paced environment.

    Position will involve extensive formalized training plus work under a mentor, developing skills and gaining an understanding of EA products, go-to market, application engineering processes etc. as well as business development and sales strategies.

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Strong knowledge of target customers as well as industry trends and competitive landscape.
    • Need technical ability to understand entire EA's product portfolio and the "go to market" strategy for each product line.
    • Indirect management of Manufacturers Representatives and Specialized Partners supporting EA products.
    • Work closely with EA's product division marketing, sales and engineering personnel to identify market trends and customer specific requirements, leading to EA's leadership position at strategic accounts.
    • Good people and analytical skills to manage strong sales personnel (including manufacturer representatives and channel partners) to succeed and continuously grow design wins, revenue, and customer relationships.
    • Responsible for driving all design-in activity and wins within assigned customer accounts and geographies.
    • Good presentation skills to all levels of personnel (both customer and internal teams).
    • Provide integrated sales application engineering and design support for a wide range of power test applications with the goal of providing sustainable products and the latest technologies best designed to meet the customers' needs.
    • Responsibilities will vary and may include presentations, quotes, submittals, technical product support, job site visits and hands-on troubleshooting as needed.
    • Research and develop new business opportunities with new and existing users.
    • Top notch customer service and willingness to go above and beyond to serve the customer.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of target customers as well as industry trends and competitive landscape.
    • Need technical ability to understand entire EA product portfolio and the "go to market" strategy for each product line.
    • Good people and analytical skills to manage strong sales personnel (including manufacturer representatives and channel partners) to succeed and continuously grow design wins, revenue and customer relationships.
    • Must be able to grow management level and design engineering relationships at strategic customers.
    • Must have ability to interface with MPS executive staff and product divisions to explain/defend key business strategies, revenue targets and customer situations within assigned territory.
    • Good presentation skills to all levels of personnel (both customer and MPS internal divisions/executives.)
    • Self-motivated to work as an individual sales contributor in a field or home office.

    Education Requirements:

    • This position requires a technical degree (minimum bachelors), preferably in an engineering discipline – or a proven track record of success in selling electronic components.
    • Will consider an experienced field applications or design engineer with a willingness to move to sales and a strong desire to succeed.

    Location: Central SE, TX, NE,KS, FL GA, NC, TN remote.

    Required Skills:

    • 0-5yrs experience
    • 4-year technical degree in a mechanical, electrical, construction or physics-oriented curriculum preferred.
    • Excellent computer, organizational and communication/presentation skills.
    • Strong desire to interface with the customer.
    • Embrace new technologies and business savvy.
    • Passion for work with aggressive nature to succeed.
    • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
