- Identifying land for speculative industrial development projects across the Southeast region by analyzing growing markets and submarkets, as well as assessing existing and planned competition
- Evaluating potential development sites, considering factors like environmental issues, geotechnical challenges, topography, zoning regulations, and fees
- Managing the entitlement process, from determining submission requirements to obtaining necessary governmental approvals and permits
- Conducting financial feasibility analyses, developing project-specific budgets, preparing pro formas, and leading internal approval processes
- Collaborating with the capital markets team to secure financing for development projects and strategizing asset disposition
- Leading a team of professionals through the design and construction phases, including architects, engineers, and consultants
- Overseeing project budgets, schedules, and construction teams to ensure successful project completion
- Pursuing build-to-suit opportunities and nurturing relationships with stakeholders in the Southeast region
- Collaborating with industry organizations to create opportunities for Ryan Companies
- Setting annual revenue and profit goals in conjunction with sector and regional leaders
- A bachelor's degree in real estate development, finance, construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial real estate development, with at least 5 years in industrial development
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate investment opportunities
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS in Real Estate or Finance
- Proven track record in speculative industrial development in the Southeast region
- Established relationships in Southeast industrial markets and the capability to foster new connections for project development

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting job opportunity for a Vice President of Development in the Southeast region. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire process of speculative industrial development projects.
