    **Rock Yard Driver Job Description**

    Follows operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time service

    Follows policies in the areas of operations techniques, materials usage

    Performs other related duties as assigned

    Loading and unloading rock/Soil material

    Following the rules of the road / Star Nurserys Policies

    Delivering Decorative rock and soil Amendments

    Transporting loads from one location to another, verifying material weight, cooperating with other equipment operators

    Keeping the truck clean and in good condition

    Delivering materials in a safe and timely manner

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to climb up and down from dump truck

    Ability to correctly tarp or adjust tarp on the tub if needed

    Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan in short- and long-term ranges

    The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

    Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level

    Strong ability to interact in a positive manner

    Strong team player

    Commitment to company values

    Reliable personal transportation

    Ability to follow directions as well as work independently to achieve goals and complete assigned tasks

    Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather - Exposure to extremes in temperatures

    This position is labor intensive

    Qualifications:

    Class C Must be able to operate vehicle with a gross weight of more than 26,000 pounds with a towed vehicle rated over 10,000 pounds

    Must provide a clean DMV record (3 year).

    effective and relevant work experience in dump tuck deliveries

    honest and hard working

    Must be able to work long hours (seasonal overtime available) in all types of weather conditions

    US work authorization
