Purpose of the Job:


  • Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Specialist is responsible being the primary contact and interface for the commercial team and customers to provide support and assistance. This role will also be responsible for releasing and scheduling production orders that will meet our customers' delivery requirements. We are seeking customerfocused professionals with relative experience in manufacturing or fabrication who can support our customers, plant operations, and growing clientele.

Essential Functions:


  • Respond to and manage customerrelated issues including system order entry, processing incoming electronic orders, maintaining customer accounts, source products maintaining customer scheduled orders.
  • Manage and support customer pricing
  • Coordinate with Production to expedite/maintain customer orders
  • Coordinate with Quality and Production to ensure Quality requirements are identified
  • Support customer order entry, shipping instructions, and billing
  • Assist customers with questions, including but limited to how to fully optimize the selfservice experience (placing orders, responding to chat inquiries, invoicing, tracking, order history, quotes, etc.).
  • Provide feedback to management and production regarding customer needs and concerns.
  • Accurately date the product realization process for incoming sales requests.
  • Validate material usage requirements in the dating of production and sales orders.
  • Manage inventory requirements to service sales expectations and cashflow targets.
  • Properly schedule staff and equipment to meet the needs of the customer base, while successfully meeting company performance expectations.
  • Create and maintain production schedules
  • Identify concerns and develop process improvement standards.
  • Conduct timely communications with customer service, ensuring that any product realization information necessary for the customer is available and accurate.
  • Manage MRP and Inventory Control clerks, develop and maintain KPI's to ensure plant efficiencies are maximized.
  • Track ontime delivery and adjust processes accordingly.

Qualifications to Meet Minimum Requirements:


  • Proficient in MS Office
  • SAP business software is a plus
  • Requires an associate degree in a related business field or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent persuasive and communication skills
  • Proficient analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Able to work in a team environment and fulfilling objectives with minimum direct supervision
  • Innovative, proactive, and selfdirected
  • Able to focus on goals and develop a work plan that produces desired results
  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment
