Calibration Technician II is a mid-level position requiring at least three years of commercial calibration experience. They calibrate a variety of equipment and disciplines independently.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform calibration work autonomously
  • Conduct research when needed
  • Manage daily workloads efficiently
  • Utilize correct measurement techniques
  • Maintain calibration standards
  • Interpret labs' scopes of accreditation
  • Collaborate with lab support staff
  • Perform calibrations on-site or in the lab
  • Travel up to 50% of the work schedule
Primary Objectives:
  • Develop fundamental calibration skills
  • Enhance team lead abilities
  • Train and advise junior technicians
  • Advance to Tech III position
  • Obtain relevant certifications
  • Adhere to Transcat's Quality Policy
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of training programs
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated learner
  • Ability to take feedback and work well in a team
  • Minimum 3 years driving experience
Education and Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent experience and training
Preferred:
  • 3+ years of commercial calibration experience
  • Background in electronics or machining
  • Mathematical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in calibration-related fields
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025
