JOB SUMMARY:
Patient Care Coordinator is the key liaison between the patient and surgery team.

They perform preliminary consultations before seeing the surgeon, present treatment plans, pricing and payment options, explain procedures, answer questions, offer guidance, and schedule surgery and follow-up care.

In addition to guiding the way in determining best surgical options, they also smooth the path to a successful procedure, by intaking patient history and performing physicals, reviewing preoperative and postoperative instructions, collecting fees, and interfacing with patients' families.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a patient care coordinator in a nonemergency, surgical setting
  • Additional experience in a customer service and sales advisory/customer education experience is required
  • Prior knowledge of and experience with EMR systems preferred

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Sales or customer service experience, preferably in plastic surgery, medical spa, or wellness setting.
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills; with a friendly, engaging, and polished demeanor, this includes a professional appearance
  • Demonstrated patience and empathy when handling patient concerns
  • Timely, wellorganized with a strong attention to detail
  • Positive attitude, adapts to change, and selfmotivated
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work in an EMR system
  • Adheres to implemented processes and policies

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Welcome new and existing patients, and ensure all patients receive an exemplary experience
  • Perform preliminary consultation, intake patient medical history, and review surgical options; manage patient record accordingly
  • Schedule surgeries and followup care
  • Review pricing, payment options, and collect fees/payments
  • Conduct confirmation calls for patient appointments
  • Scan all necessary paperwork into patient's charts
  • Comply with HIPAA and the vision of Company practices

COMPENSATION:

Range is contingent on years of successful experience in the role; Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision coverage with premiums paid for the employee, PTO + holidays paid, 401K with up to 3% match after the first year.

$ $30.00 per hour
