Description
$22 an hourMust adhere to all government and FGC sanitation and food standards.
Prepare, cook, serve, and supervise the serving of food for safe handling and proper temperature control. Maintain proper portion controls of food served.
Prepare Daily Food Use Sheet and Monthly Inventory Reports as required.
Implement and maintain proper food management security to avoid health hazards.
Ensure all kitchen related equipment is properly cleaned and maintained. Notify Program Director of any equipment needed and/or required replacement.
Maintain proper food and equipment inventory and documentation.
Ensure the safe and orderly storage of dry perishable and frozen food including daily check of refrigerator and freezer temperatures.
Assist the Kitchen Technician and Custodian in cleanup and preparation.
Implement, when needed, the Programs emergency preparedness plan for food preparation and distribution, including Grab and Go.
Must be able to follow all safety and health guidelines.
Must be available to work on special occasions sponsored by the Center and/or FGC.
Participate in FGC ZOOM/Virtual activities and programs.
Must be able to work weeknights and weekends.
Must follow all COVID-19 related sanitary guidelines.
Requirements:
High School diploma or HS Equivalency, and 1-year cooking in commercial kitchen. Must have a Food Handlers Certificate. Must be able to stand, bend, lift 50 lbs., and move intermittently.
