    Experience:


    • 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required.


    • Experience with Epic is preferred.

    Requirements:


    • Candidates must have a New York license in hand at the time of application.


    • Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from this facility in order to be eligible to apply for this role.


    • COVID vaccination required for onboarding. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

    Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

    Additional Details:

    All candidate submissions are at D/E/N ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULES, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit. They cannot approve straight day shifts, travel pairs requiring the same schedule, or special requests. Any RTO not included on your application will NOT be considered.

    Costs for your 1st Day: Safe Medicate Exam, ID Badge, and Mask Fit Test are reimbursable. Safe Medicate Exam- $10.00— Safe Medicate Exam- $10.00—The fee is $10 and is valid for 30 days. Regardless of practice setting or role, all nurses will complete the safeMedicate assessment during orientation. Password information will be provided at that time. Accepted method of payment: Credit Card ONLY (register online); ID Badge- $ Accepted method of payment: Cash, Check, or Credit Card; Mask Fit Test (IF APPLICABLE) - $ Accepted method of payment: Credit Card ONLY

    Parking is not provided - this will be an out of pocket expense. Parking Pass- Accepted method of payment: Credit Card ONLY (register online). Day 1- $6.00 (parking garage), By the month- $37.00, Per 13-week contract- $111.00

    URMC will consider 48 hours straight time.

    Telemetry experience required.

    Must have: peritoneal dialysis (PD) and be competent in the following: heparin power flush, PD cultures, manual filling and draining and experience with the Baxter Amia machine.
