    ABOUT THE POSITION:

    As a Surgical Technologist at Unity Hospital, you play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and success of surgical operations. Your responsibilities include handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures while maintaining sterilization standards.

    ROLE DETAILS:

    • Full-Time Position
    • Location: Unity Hospital
    • Department: Operating Room (OR)
    • Schedule: Monday-Friday Days, with on-call duties including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    • Completion of a military surgical technology program -OR-
    • Evidence of employment as a surgical technologist in a healthcare facility for at least one year between 12/31/10 – 12/31/14 -OR-
    • Graduation from an accredited program with a Surgical Technology major and Certified Surgical Technologist certification within 12 months of graduation

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Continuing Education: Maintain minimum CME hours per year
    • Supply Management: Ensure availability and sterilization of supplies for procedures
    • Assist in Orientation: Guide students and technicians
    • Draping Procedures: Maintain sterility in the operating room
    • Unit Development: Contribute to unit goals and objectives

    EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

    CST - Certified Surgical Technologist, LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse (New York)

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Medium Work - Ability to exert force and move objects; involves frequent standing, walking, or squatting

    PAY RANGE:

    $29.00/hour
