Who we're looking for:
What you'll be doing:
- Analyze, plan, and execute the work necessary to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT systems.
- Conduct security control monitoring and testing, including vulnerability and compliance scans.
- Perform security control assessments and risk analysis.
- Develop and implement continuous monitoring strategies and solutions.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security monitoring tools and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity policies and frameworks.
- Coordinate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of security monitoring solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to monitoring team members.
- Stay current with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.
What you need to know:
- Strong technical knowledge, understanding, and skills in IT Security concepts, cloud services, infrastructure, networking, and data management.
- Experience in agile project management, maintenance, and development of information systems security programs, documentation, policies, procedures, and tools.
- Practical experience in conducting security control monitoring and testing, including vulnerability and compliance scans, security control assessments, and risk analysis.
- Familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies relevant to cloud and onpremises environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have's:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or additional 35 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and as part of a larger team.
- Shall possess one or more of the following certifications: (ISC)2 Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security + (Sec+), CAP, CISA, CISM, SSCP, Network + (N+), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP.
- Ability to obtain and maintain customer required security clearance.
