Essential Duties

  • Assists incoming graduate students with enrollment, orientation, and required tasks.
  • Develops and implements student recruitment plans with the graduate support team.
  • Supports marketing efforts for the school's graduate programs.
  • Supports the development, marketing, and management of accelerated programs while coordinating with undergraduate advisors.
  • Maintains regular communication with graduate students and faculty.
  • Manages inquiries in Salesforce related to recruiting, admissions, academics, and other areas.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate program information in marketing materials, handbooks, and webpages.
  • Provides individual and group academic advising to support student success.
  • Assists in planning, marketing, staging, and tracking attendance for events.
  • Reviews and approves graduate Plans of Study submissions.
  • Monitors student progress and supports milestone reviews and defenses.
  • Advises current students on academic policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Maintains databases, prepares reports, and conducts basic data pulls for enrollment reports, schedules, and assessment data.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to meet departmental needs and ensure operational continuity.

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND one year of administrative and appropriate program experience; OR, Five years of progressively responsible administrative and appropriate program experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Experience in organizing resources and establish priorities effectively.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating activities.
  • Experience or background in providing comprehensive support to students, preferably within a higher education setting.
  • Experience in the field of higher education.
  • Experience in providing academic advising to prospective and current students, guiding them through program requirements and assisting them in making informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with student information systems such as PeopleSoft, student degree auditing reports like iPOS and DARS, and Salesforce.
  • Evidence of effective management of shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining professional relationships within team environments.
  • Experience handling tasks requiring meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
  • Experience in supporting marketing efforts and conducting outreach activities to promote graduate programs and attract prospective students.

Working Environment

  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to twentyfive pounds.
  • Communicate to perform essential functions.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone, and associated computer/technology peripherals.
