Description

As a cook in Summerdale, you can probably guess what your main task will be: making delicious food, of course. As part of a well-coordinated kitchen team, you will be responsible for providing all meals at the rehabilitation centers.

You and your team will create menus and prepare a variety of dishes, including soups, salads, fish and meat dishes, as well as fine desserts and pastries. You will also be responsible for ingredient preparation and plating the dishes. Last but not least, you will maintain the kitchen and ensure cleanliness and organization.

Start Date
Annually on September 1st or 01.09.

Duration
3 years (possibility of shortening)

What to expect

  • Dual: You will receive training in both theory and practice, learning the art of cooking and important background knowledge, which you will apply directly in your work
  • You will already be preparing dishes and be an important member of the kitchen team during your apprenticeship
  • In the 2nd and 3rd year of your apprenticeship, you will spend approximately three months training in a local restaurant or hotel
  • When it's time for your final exams, you can take up to five days off for exam preparation – and you will be paid for it
