The Communications Manager will be part of a team providing global communication support that spans our diverse international footprint and workforce.

This role with report to the VP of Corporate Communications and will work in a hybrid capacity at our Indianapolis, IN facility.

Responsibilities:

Be able to think strategically, understand the complex Belden strategy, make recommendations to the business leaders on appropriate communication tactics, and ensure messaging is consistent across the organization.

Support implementation of tactics and measurement of success for a variety of business initiatives and communication objectives.

Write and edit communications and assist in executing campaigns for various teams such as executive leadership, business updates, strategy, etc.

Summarize and write powerful key messaging that inspires action.

Utilize Salesforce for internal email communications.

Coordinate between social media and marketing as needed for consistent messaging internally and externally.

Research and update SharePoint pages on global intranet site for employee use.

Follow Belden's brand identity guide when developing print and web-based internal communications and presentations.

Required Skills and Experience

5 or more years of corporate communications experience, preferably for a global publicly traded company

Bachelor's degree in a field such as communications, journalism, public relations or a related field

Strong business writing skills (provide samples upon request)

Ability to build relationships and influence while supporting cross-functional needs

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism

Ability to think strategically as well as operate at a tactical level

Solid business and communications acumen, creativity and analytical skills

Strong project management skills, comfort with ambiguity and excitement for fast-paced atmosphere

Ability to meet tight deadlines when needed

Occasional business travel required
