- Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
- Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
- Carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
- Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to hire date required
- Registered Nurse credential from the Illinois Board of Nursing prior to hire date required
- Graduate of accredited nursing school required
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Nurses hired after May 23, 2014, with a diploma or associates' degree in nursing will be required to be accepted into a BSN program within six (6) months of hire date and complete within three (3) years
