Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Processor to join our team. Processes, verifies, compiles, and prepares information for mortgage loans by performing the following duties.


Duties:

• Order appraisals, flood certificates, and termite certificates.

Order title commitment with closing agent for loan closings.

Prepare construction draws on construction loans, order inspections as needed.

Maintain contact with all parties involved in each processing mortgage loan. (buyers, sellers, real estate agents, closing agents, insurance companies, etc.)

Input loan information into computer.

Perform transactions on mortgage loans as needed. (payoffs, payments, corrections, maintenance etc.)

Setup payroll distributions and automatic transfer of mortgage loan payments.

Prepare payroll deduction authorization.

Verify that all documents have been accurately completed.

Provide pertinent loan payoff and truth-in-lending information to attorney's office concerning real estate loans.

Prepare loan disbursement checks, including real estate loan disbursements.

Prepare and mail statements of credit denial.

Prepare correspondence for mailing from loan department.

Perform quality control of real estate file folders by following-up on all missing papers, title policies, corrected documents, etc.

File loan documents.

Ensure that there is an adequate supply of loan processing forms and other supplies pertinent to loan processing.

Provide routine information to member with respect to credit union loan policy and services.

Cross-sell services of the credit union.

Respond to overflow of daily departmental tasks.

Assist the loan collection department in collection efforts with any knowledge or information on a member that might be of benefit.

Assist in any area as directed by the Chief Lending Officer, the President, or the department supervisor in a relief capacity.

Skills:

• Strong math skills and ability to perform 10key typing accurately
• Knowledge of basic math principles and financial calculations
• Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines
• Understanding of loan processing procedures and underwriting requirements
• Proficiency in using mortgage software systems and MS Office Suite
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Pay:
$40, $57,297.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
