SUMMARY:
Manage the Water, Sewer, and Stormwater Division and the Electrical Infrastructure Division. Assists the Public Works Director and other departments in areas of expertise and ensure regulatory and safety compliance. May act as backup for Public Works Director, when needed.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Four-year degree in Engineering, Science, Management or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

IV State of Maine Water Operators License or able to obtain.


WORK ACTIVITIES:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Water/Sewer/Stormwater and Electrical divisions. Assist with development and monitoring of departmental budget. Address citizen suggestions and requests. Investigate and address issues raised in a timely manner and assign corrective action. Coordinate operations with other City departments and outside agencies. Participate in labor management activities. Provide oversight for water treatment, pumping stations and other Division buildings. Monitor sewerage and treatment to ensure City and Sewerage Treatment Plant requirements are met. Write bid specifications and review bid results for the purchase of services, materials, equipment and supplies. Organize and oversee the divisions' capital planning and execution. Maintain compliance with state and federal utility regulations and other strategic undertakings to improve efficiency and quality. Pay:
$78, $115,440.00 per year
