Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
**Using dental instruments and hygiene equipment, performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.

**Instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.

**Assisting a high number of patients as required.
**Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers.


SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED:
**Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license
**Must have a current/active CPR certificate
**Knowledge of dental terminology
**Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices
**Skills using dental instruments and equipment and performing dental prophylaxis and scaling and root planning.
**Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.
**Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers in a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of Marion County

**Bilingual (English/Spanish) - highly preferred
**Pediatric Experience - highly preferred

$23.62 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Experience:


  • Dental assisting: 1 year (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Ocala, FL (required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Ocala, FL: Relocate before starting work (required)
