Under the direction of the Apprenticeship Expansion Unit's Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) will support statewide apprenticeship expansion focused on Partnership and/ or Program Management.

Counsel and educate on the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) in California linked to Interagency Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship; attend committee meetings, refer with management, and provide guidance to ensure adherence to rules and regulations; deliver oral and multimedia presentations; analyze data and present ideas on the efficacy
- and compliance of apprenticeship program evaluation, policy analysis; and accountable for a service first model to program sponsors, third-party intermediaries, employers, educators, workforce development organizations, and matters relating to a registered apprenticeship.

  • The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting that is an air conditioned, multiple floor building with elevator access, and contains cubicles with natural and artificial lighting. May be required to work from other locations throughout California as needed including working from home if provided with proper office equipment. Typical office tools include computer, printer/copy/scan/fax machines, filing; being in a stationary position for long periods of time and/or driving; typical office/vehicle noise and/or vibration; may encounter inclement weather.
  • Regularly attend and advise at committee meetings and outreach events; work remotely at community business partner locations; collaborate with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Occasional travel required.
