Lab Technician

Position Outline
The Lab Technician will be assigned onsite at client location in Point Comfort, Texas.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Instrument Calibrations
Analyze Process Samples, performing chemical and physical tests on various material and water samples.
Analyze Final Product Prior to shipment.
Monitor Process Additives
Paperwork as required.
Troubleshoot and Repair Instruments
QC Analysis for Process
Attend Safety and Departmental Training
Will abide by the quality policy in regards to ISO 9000 and will abide by the
Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements as they pertain to ISO 1400
Work outside normal shift hours as needed.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Eight hours of college chemistry; or an associate degree in Chemical Technology (Laboratory), Process Technology; or three years industrial lab experience; or 15 consecutive months Polyolefin/PVC/Polymer Analysis lab experience
High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience in Plastic converting processes and testing is preferred.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Rotating schedule (shift work), able to work overtime if needed and be on call
Experience in Plastic converting processes and testing is preferred.

Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to nonfinancial stakeholders.
High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

$ $20.00 per hour
