Who We're Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
- State of Arizona administrative certification.
_Applicants must have on file in the Human Resources Department a copy of the appropriate valid certificate or evidence of eligibility to be appropriately certified by the Arizona Department of Education_:
- Arizona Teaching Certification with the approved area in mathematics.
- K8 Mathematics Endorsement (preferred)
- Master's degree in Mathematics Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in K8 education.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in curriculum development.
- Strong understanding of educational standards and trends in math education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make datadriven decisions.
- Experience in providing professional development and coaching for teachers.
- Performs other duties/tasks as assigned

About the Role:
The Math Coordinator position exists to elevate the overall mathematics education within our school district.
The goal is to improve student achievement, foster a love for mathematics, and provide teachers with the necessary tools and support to excel in their math instruction.
The Math Coordinator will work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to create a unified and effective math program.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Curriculum Development and Alignment:
- Revise and update the K8 math curriculum to align with state standards and our district learning platform.
- Ensure the seamless progression of mathematical concepts across grade levels.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate best practices and innovative teaching
- Professional Development:
- Design and deliver professional development sessions to enhance teachers' math pedagogy.
- Provide ongoing support to teachers through workshops and resource sharing.
- Stay informed about current trends and research in math education to integrate new ideas into professional development
- Assessment and Data Analysis:
- Implement and analyze assessments to gauge student understanding and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Work with teachers to interpret data and develop strategies for addressing areas of improvement.
- Monitor and report on student achievement in mathematics.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to build a supportive math community.
- Facilitate regular meetings with math teachers to share information, resources, and successes.
- Communicate regularly with parents about the math program and ways to support their child's learning at home.

- Manage and allocate resources, including textbooks, software, and other instructional materials.
