Description
Works with Child Nutrition Manager and Child Nutrition Specialists to plan

appropriate programming in health and nutrition.

  • Travels to different locations to serve as a "substitute" when a Foodservice staff
member is absent.

  • Mentors and guides Foodservice Staff to demonstrate proper production procedures
and to ensure all local, state, and federal food and health requirements are being

adhered to.

  • Ensures implementation of correct procedures for food receiving and storage, food
handling, preparation and distribution, kitchen sanitation and safety, equipment

operation and cleaning as required by Texas Department of Agriculture Child and

Adult Care Food Program and all other local, state and federal.

  • Conducts monitoring for the following: (a) food production records (b) kitchen safety
and sanitation (c) food supply inventory (d) kitchen supply inventory.

  • Assists in the preparation for monitoring of USDA food programs by state and local
authorities and the Head Start Monitoring Protocol federal authorities.

  • Assists Child Nutrition Manager with meeting all reporting responsibilities for Head
Start requirements.


Experience:
Preferred

  • Less than 2 year(s): Experience with USDA food program

Education:

  • Bachelors or better in Dietetics or related field
