Telephone Operator, UHS Wilson Medical Center


United Health Services is seeking a Telephone Operator to join our BGH Switchboard And Reception department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY.

This is a Per Diem position.

Salary range:
$ $21.49 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

Switchboard Operators are professional telecommunicators, functioning as a central point of communication within UHS facilities. Receives emergency response calls and initiates proper notification of emergency codes. Assists callers, visitors, physicians, funeral home directors, and hospital personnel. Acts as answering service for areas as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience


Minimum Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. In lieu of diploma, will accept 2 years of experience utilizing a multiline phone system.

Preferred:

  • 2 (two)years previous switchboard experience
