    Annual Salary:
    $85,000-$95,000 + Car allowance.


    Summary:
    The Safety & Fleet Program Manager will be primarily responsible for providing risk, safety, and loss prevention support services.

    This role is also responsible for ensuring the company is in compliance and adheres to the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) & Department of Transportation (DOT).

    Ultimately, this position is responsible for seeing the overall integrity and quality of all Acme's safety protocols and assists in developing a safety culture of understanding injury and incident preventions.


    Responsibilities:
    Duties

    Actively engages with leadership and employees to develop and understanding and buy in of a safe work force;
    Responsible for assisting with the inspection of branches and worksite conditions to determine if hazards are present and work with stakeholders to establish procedures and policies to mitigate those hazardous situations;
    Responsible for researching, advising, assessing, and consulting with employees and Managers on safety, health, and loss prevention; advising on safe work methods and practices and the elimination of environmental hazards;
    Responsible for reviewing, assessing, developing and facilitating safety plans and written programs to train, bring awareness to, and ensure compliance with company programs such as:

    IIPP program;
    Housekeeping program;
    Driver safety program.

    Responsible for reviewing and assessing accident/incident reports; responding to accidents and/or injuries; and managing the paperwork related to a workers compensation claim;
    Monitor and assist in enforcement of driver and fleet regulations to ensure compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT, as well as state and federal level requirements);
    Responsible for conducting all tasks associated with

    Driver Qualification Program:
    Driver Eligibility-Driver applications, medical cards, physicals, annual driving records,
    MVR reporting, etc.

    Working with Management, assists with developing driver training in the following areas:

    Safety training, DOT regulations, Hazmat training, etc.

    Responsible for reviewing and meeting all state and federal safety standard requirements for record keeping. Specifically submitting any government related safety reporting such as the OSHA form 300;
    Responsible for conducting and submitting all other safety related reports to related government agencies;
    Responsible for ensuring first aid and CPR certifications are scheduled annually and executed upon;
    Responsible for developing content and facilitating monthly safety committee meetings;

    Responsible for ensuring that all Acme branches have appropriate documentation per city and state regulations; including the past three years of fire alarm and sprinkler inspections, city specific permits, etc.

    Timely processes, analyzes and reports out on Safety KPIs
    Able to travel to all Acme locations throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, and Arizona.
    Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.

    Qualifications


    Skills:
    Technical Qualifications/Experience:

    5 years in a safety or risk management position;
    Experience of federal, state, and local safety rules and regulations including knowledge of federal and state OSHA requirements:
    Multi-State experience preferred
    Distribution/Warehouse knowledge preferred
    Experience of DOT regulations and transportation safety;
    Experience in implementing safety programs
    Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint;
    Experience in performing safety inspections and familiar with hazard identification;
    Ability to present information in classroom or conference call setting;
    Able to effectively train, influence and motivate employees;
    Able to analyze and validate data in a detailed method;
    Able to develop and execute a strategic plan that includes measurable goals;

    Preferred:
    OSHA Competent Person Certification.

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
    Must function well in an office environment and warehouse environment;
    A significant amount of tasks performed at a computer terminal and consistent phone usage.

    Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 50 pounds, as required by the job.
