    Description

    Job Description Information System Security Officer IRES - SSFB - ( ADV * Work with hardware engineers, software engineers, and test teams developing, testing, and deploying cyber tools for compliance initiatives.

    Assess and coordinate mitigation of system security threats/risks using DoD approved tools (eg. ACAS, HBSS, etc.).

    Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities of CLAW systems.

    Gather data and prepare documentation in support of U.S. Government Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts to obtain Cyber Security Authorization to Operate (ATO) certification.

    Be responsible for managing the eMASS record for assigned enclaves.

    Monitor baseline systems on a daily basis to ensure operation, function and cyber posture meets mission requirements.

    Review and analyze appropriate system logs for performance and behavior anomalies, determine negative trends, and develop recommended corrective actions.

    Coordinate actions and efforts as needed with appropriate team members, internal and external teams, customers, stakeholders and leaders to effectively execute tasks, solve problems and develop solutions with minimal to no mission impact.

    Understand security vulnerabilities in various SW and HW platforms and be able to recommend mitigations.

    Maintain a high degree of proficiency in cyber applications to accomplish tasks.

    Have other cyber duties as assigned.

    **Description of Duties:**

    The **Information System Security Officer** supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

    This position will be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO

    This position is expected to pay **$113,600 - $123,600** annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

    This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed.

    **Basic Requirements:**

    Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 10 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 8 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 6 years of general experience; Master's degree and 4 years of general experience

    Must have at least 6 years of related experience with DoD cybersecurity processes and procedures, as well as tools to review/perform data correlation (e.g. ACAS, HBSS, ArcSight)

    Must have a current DoD M IAT Level II certification

    Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

    **Desired Requirements:**

    Have a working knowledge of Linux operating systems

    Have experience in Command Cyber Readiness Inspections or 3rd party audits

    Have experience with consolidating data exports from auditing tools to provide knowledgeable insights
