Responsibilities

Performs activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services. Performs specialized areas as medicine history, buyer and other inventory related areas, nuclear, and PAP as a pharmacy technician.

Refills and maintains automated dispensing system.
Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the specialty pharmacy areas.
Repackages bulk medications.
Receives and stores incoming supplies.
Serves as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing necessaryinformation.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association. Must possess all state and local qualifications preferred.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

2 years of retail or specialty pharmacy experience highly preferred
Experience working with Enterprise Rx pharmacy processing system
Data entry of prescriptions experience
Strong computer skills
Exceptional communication skills
