An apprenticeship at Nells Park Hotel Trier means: Developing yourself, learning a lot and having fun at the same time.

Our MOVE UP training and motivation program for apprentices offers trainings, events, external internships and much more.

For the start of the apprenticeship in August 2025, we are once again offering several apprenticeship positions for cooks (m/f/d).

Cooks are also responsible for advising and serving guests at large buffets.

Whether in a restaurant, hotel or on a cruise ship - with a cook apprenticeship, the whole world is open to you.

Various further training measures offer the opportunity to advance in your career, up to managing your own hospitality business.


Requirements for the apprenticeship:

  • Secondary school diploma
  • Team and communication skills
  • Good manners
  • Quick comprehension
  • Organizational and planning talent
Duration of apprenticeship: 3 years, depending on the level of education.


Training contents:

  • Preparation of dishes according to production plans
  • Planning, purchasing and preparation of dishes and ingredients
  • Creation of menus
  • Compliance with hygiene regulations
  • Development of menus
  • Cost calculation
Vocational school: 1 or 2 days per week in Trier.


Opportunities for further education:

  • Master course (kitchen master)
  • Pâtissier, herb expert, experts for vegetarianvegan cuisine (IHK)
