    Description

    Innovative Driven is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join the team at a well-respected Los Angeles law firm client. This firm is proud of its sophisticated and forward-thinking approach to litigation, and they are seeking a charismatic and driven paralegal to join the team

    The firm is open to a hybrid schedule. The first six months of the role, the role will be fully onsite.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage case documents, including collection, organization, review and production of documents.
    • Draft, review and revise simple litigation documents.
    • E-file necessary documents in appellate, federal and state courts
    • Format briefs.
    • Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation.
    • Proofread and perfect legal documents
    • Assemble and bookmark exhibits.
    • Research using Westlaw LexisNexis, PACER, SEC/EDGAR and other systems.
    • Research court rules and judges special rules and procedures
    • Draft discovery documents and pleadings for attorney review
    • Assist with trial proceedings and preparation.
    • Coordinate and prepare documents for production.
    • Utilize e-discovery databases, as needed
    • Create document production logs, privilege logs and redaction logs
    • Summarize depositions
    • Assist attorneys with preparation for depositions and hearings

    Requirements:

    • 6-10 years of litigation paralegal experience in fast-paced commercial law firm setting
    • Candidates must be Certified Paralegals in CA.
    • Bachelor's degree is a plus.
    • Experience locating information from court-related databases.
    • Demonstrable ability to quickly and accurately determine the cadence for filings to prevent any lapses in deadlines.
    • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook
