    Litigation Paralegal

    A successful candidate would already have experience working in a fast-paced insurance defense firm that focused on civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on class action law and will be ready to hit the ground running. Hybrid schedule available, 100% employer paid benefits, 15 days of PTO (to start), 11 paid holidays, many in-office amenities, and a great office culture and environment.     Responsibilities

    • Conduct legal research
    • Update and maintain internal databases
    • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
    • Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
    • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
    • Liaise between trial team and internal/external third parties
    • Help with voir dire, jury selection and witness preparation
    • Subpoena medical, billing, and radiology records, employment records, workers compensation records, and other entities
    • Prepare comprehensive medical chronologies and Howell analysis
    • Summarize written discovery and document productions
    • Conduct background checks, social media investigations, litigation history

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years' of recent experience in civil litigation – employment and/or wage and hour class action/PAGA experience highly preferred
    • Proven working experience as a Litigation Paralegal
    • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documents, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.
    • Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong writing and communication skills along with superior attention to detail
    • Extensive computer and database expertise (i.e., Excel)
    • ABA approved paralegal certificate or other relevant certification

    Compensation:

    DOE

    o $70,000 - $95,000
