    GLASTONBURY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
    Glastonbury, Connecticut


    NOTICE OF VACANCY

    POSITION:
    Float Registered Nurse (Non-Union Position)

    Daily location as assigned by the Head Nurse dependent on building needs.


    WAGES:
    $41.20 per hour


    SCHEDULE:
    3.5 hours per day

    180 days per year


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • RN licensed by the State of Connecticut, BSN preferred;
    • CPR/AED certified;
    • One year work experience within last five years, at a minimum.
    • Preference given to experience in school nursing, pediatrics or emergency room care.

    DUTIES:

    • Assist in the daily nursing management of assigned health office.
    • Cover assigned school health office in the absence of school nurse.
    • Administer prescribed medications.
    • Document the nursing process.
    • Assist with state mandated screenings.
    • Assist with the maintenance of mandated physical exam and immunization documentation.
    • Be flexible regarding schedule to provide substitute nursing coverage when needed.
