- Assigned an experienced Mentor to guide you every step of the way and ensure you grasp your responsibilities effectively
- Hands-on experience in our healthcare resident area and engaging clinical classroom sessions
- Support from dedicated nursing staff and nurse educators to oversee your progress consistently
- Promptly respond to residents' call lights and provide necessary assistance
- Help residents with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene
- Execute prescribed restorative procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of oxygen concentrators, feeding pumps, IV poles, and wheelchairs
- Aid in transferring residents between different locations
- Assist in relocating residents' personal belongings during room changes
- Make beds and manage linens following infection control guidelines
- Prepare trays for self-feeding residents
- Refill water pitchers and distribute trays during mealtime
- Adhere to infection control measures and standard precautions as outlined in FutureCare's policies
- Undertake various additional duties during training and as assigned
- Secure Full-Time placement in one of our facilities with opportunities for growth and development as a Caregiver

- Eligibility to take the GNA exam facilitated by the Maryland Board of Nursing
- Career Growth Ladder post-GNA license attainment offering avenues for further advancement through continuous training and support towards obtaining certifications as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN)
- Successful completion of a reading and arithmetic assessment as part of pre-employment screenings
- Completion of an 8-week training program
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Preferable experience in a healthcare setting
- Availability for on-site training sessions Monday-Thursday from 9am to 3:30pm
- Ability to engage professionally and courteously with nursing staff, residents, and family members
- Posessing a kind, patient, and empathetic demeanor
- Demonstrating a strong work ethic and collaborative spirit
- Capability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks diligently
- Aptitude to lift 50lbs or more and stand for at least 8 hours per day
