As a Medical Billing Assistant with UltraCare:
You will play a crucial role in supporting the administrative and financial functions of our organization. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in billing and financial processes.


Billing and Invoicing:


  • Generate and send invoices to clients or customers accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Verify billing information, including rates, quantities, and discounts.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
  • Assist with data entry, recordkeeping, and document preparation.
  • Fundamental understanding of eligibility and verification.
  • Basic working knowledge of billing software and accounting tools.
  • Diligent follow up on denied claims, unpaid claims, and patient's responsibilities to ensure maximum reimbursement for the services provided in a timely fashion.

Customer Relations:


  • Interact with clients or customers to address billing inquiries and concerns.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure payment compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, managers, and external contacts.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and uptodate billing information.
  • Handles sensitive patient information with confidentiality to ensure patient privacy per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Financial Data Entry:


  • Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets with precision.
  • Monitor and update financial records, including expenses and receipts.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries as needed.
  • Proficiency in medical billing with posting charges and collections.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Administrative Support:


  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory as needed.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Compliance and Accuracy:


  • Ensure billing and financial processes comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all financial and administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in finance and accounting. Experience in billing/coding required.

1 to 2 years in a related role successfully performing described job functions listed above.

*This is an In-office position*
Job Type: Part-time


Pay:
$ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
