Description

SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the Special Education Teachers in the implementation of an effective educational program for children assigned. Provides services to young children.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists in the formulation and implementation of educational Programming consistent with the I.E.P. and Master Treatment Plan.
  • Prepare and present verbal and written reports concerning children
- s educational progress.

  • With Departmental privileging administer educational diagnostic tests.
  • Attend and participate in meetings or conferences including supervisory sessions staff meetings or other meetings as assigned.
  • Participate in parent conference as required.
  • Participate in diagnostic evaluations.
  • Prepare maintain and submit required reports records statistical data or other information.
  • Assist assigned children in all aspects of daily programming including selfcare social skills and recreation.
  • Observes all school policies rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required assigned or directed.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Baccalaureate Degree preferred with a major in Special Education or related human service fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients with consideration of aging processes human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process
  • Prior experience working with children helpful.
Work is performed in a psychological clinic for children and adolescent environment.
