    Engineering Project Manager at XYZ Company

    POSITION SUMMARY
    The Engineering Project Manager supports the Project Management function within the Engineering Organization and handles Low-Complexity Projects.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Performs standard Project Management tasks utilizing proven techniques such as PMI's PMBoK and Critical Chain concepts
    • Assists senior Project Managers in various project-related activities like preparing schedules, status updates, and risk-mitigation plans
    • Manages Low-Complexity Projects independently, under the guidance of Senior Project Managers and/or the PMO Manager
    • Gets involved in Project-specific Budget Planning and Control tasks
    • Works closely with senior Project Managers and/or the PMO Manager for project oversight
    • Creates Project Schedules and monitors Deliverables
    • Consolidates and Analyzes Project Data for reporting
    • Prepares Visibility Reports to track project progress
    • Enhances existing Processes and Procedures for efficiency
    • Supports Budget Control Activities to ensure financial objectives are met
    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Education:
    • BS/ BA degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields
    • Preferably a BS/ BA degree in Engineering
    • Knowledge of aircraft and aviation is advantageous
    • CAPM Certificate is a plus
    Experience:
    • Generally 2+ years experience in Product Development
    • Initiating a career in Project/Program Management Discipline (0-2 years experience)
    • Exposure to the Project/Program Manager Role in Aerospace or Aviation is preferred
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Execution of Project/Program Management practices
    • Handles Project Life Cycle Tasks for multiple Low-Complexity Projects simultaneously
    • Customer-oriented with strong Relationship Building skills
    • Keen to learn about Aircraft Development and Certification processes
    • Interest in Executive Aircraft and Aviation Market, focusing on Interior, Seats, and Cabin Systems
    • Familiarity with Aircraft Interior Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Installation, and Certification
    • Consults with Team Leaders/ Specialists for project estimation
    • Understands project development Gates and ensures Gate exits
    • Coordinates with Engineering Management for Schedule Alignment and Deliverables
    • Proficient in tools like CCPM, JIRA, and Microsoft Project
    • Collaborates across departments like Procurement, Program Management, Engineering, Quality and Production
    • Effective Tracking and Communication Skills for project execution
    • Manages Action Items with Engineering Leads and resolves cross-departmental issues
    • Strong written and oral presentation skills for effective communication with Senior Management and project Teams
    • Effective time management and organization skills
    • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
    • Portuguese or Spanish language proficiency is beneficial

    • Ensure safety compliance with all regulatory requirements
    • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as per FAA regulations
    • Available for domestic and international travel
