The role in more details:
The ideal candidate will be part of the
Devops and Automation team
Create Dockerfiles and Docker compose files in order to containerize new applications in co-operation with the software engineering team.
Automate deployment lifecycle using Jenkins and scripts(Python)
Ability to configure Service mesh and Application gateways like istio and Nginx Ingress controller .
Ability to work with Azure cloud components(Functions, DevOps, Alerting).
Maintain our Container and Package registries in Gitlab along with our internal Gitlab server
Manage(deploy, upgrade, rollback) deployments on Production of UAT environments on premises VMs and Azure cloud.
Set up
Linux environments in an automated way ( tools, firewalls, routing etc). We mainly operate on Ubuntu server.
Automate deployment lifecycle using Jenkins and scripts(Python)
Deploy and manage monitoring tools( Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Loki, Alert manager etc)
Create and manage certificates for our applications. Familiar with Certificate lifecycle.
To be successful at this role you need the following
(hard and soft skills)
:
A BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other related field
1-2 years experience with Python in automation
1-2 years experience in Jenkins
1-2 years experience in a cloud native environment
1-2 years of working experience with :
Linux, Docker
Experience with SRE activities(Networking, Backup and DBA duties)
Effective communication and rapport building skills
Ability to develop and deliver high quality services and solutions
Effective prioritization whilst managing multiple projects at the same period
An extremely high work ethic
Motivation for career progression and development
Military Obligations completed
Nice to have:
Experience with Azure cloud and its tools
Experience with Jira
Experience with Istio will be considered a plus
Experience with other cloud distributions like AWS, Google cloud etc.
