- Manage bank accounts, reconciliations, and credit card payments
- Manage insurance applications and software renewals
- Prepare monthly financial statements and year-end closing documents
- Prepare monthly invoicing, including FAR-compliant invoices for federal clients
- Manage collections
- Set up project budgets for labor, consultants, and expenses
- Set up and manage data in Unanet system
- Maintain revenue projections
- Manage tax reporting documents and coordinate with outside accountant
- Collaborate with our accounting firm to prepare quarterly taxes
- Work with consultants to manage IRS tax amendments (employee retention tax credits, 179D)
- Manage federal regulation compliance
- Manage check requests
- Process bi-monthly payroll and taxes
- Manage monthly expense budget
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- CPA or MBA in finance is preferred but not required.
- 5 years minimum accounting experience in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry.
- Located in the Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland area and able to commute is preferred, but will also consider remote applicants.
- Proficiency in Unanet and Deltek Ajera.
- Enthusiastic learner who enjoys taking on challenges and offering solutions.
- Effective communicator and team player.
