- Executes raw material strategies that support Operation's business objectives and deliver reliable, cost-effective outcomes to customers, both internal and external.
- Functions as a key member of the location team, strengthening strategic and tactical efforts.
- Builds and leads relationships with key partners including Finance, operations, maintenance and the operations suppliers to identify key cost saving opportunities, develops initiatives and objectives for these opportunities, and executes a strategy to realize such savings.
- Establishes strategic service models with partners including MRO, construction, and plant service providers, negotiating competitive volume and contractual rates for the operation
- Identifies and enhances the current outsourcing process to gain leverage from combined volumes from all operations activities and establish preferred vendor lists with contracts.
- Establish measurable KPI's, create, and maintain data and reporting tools to properly represent department performance and improvement.
- Oversees development, monitoring, and reporting of department budget.
- Identifies and implements best practice approaches to continuously improve, to ensure operation has a cost, quality, and service advantages.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field of study or an equivalent level of experience in a manufacturing related industry
- Leadership skills and the ability to inspire direct and indirect reports, leading the team to a common goal and developing team for the future needs of the operation
- Exemplary communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain information in logical and well-thought-out manner
- Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrated experience employing those skills to drive results
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- This is a safety-sensitive position requiring drug and alcohol testing
