    The MITRE Naval Aviation Systems Department's (N) mission is to advance Naval Aviation solutions with urgency, ensuring warfighter dominance against current and future adversaries in defense of our nation. This is accomplished by delivering timely, effective, and sustainable capabilities to ensure the warfighter's mission success and safe return home.

    Job Description:

    • Apply full range of knowledge to maintain technical security of information systems processing classified information.
    • Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, network switches, etc. to include system upgrades.
    • Update servers, clients, applications, antivirus updates, maintain Active Directory, DNS, Continuous Monitoring logging, SCAP, etc.
    • Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure systems and network devices to comply with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
    • Possess working knowledge of Window /Sever 2/6 and experience with troubleshooting applicable systems.
    • Assist ISSM/ISSO with coordination between sponsors, MITRE project leaders, and MITRE's accreditation officials to obtain formal accreditation to operate classified information systems.
    • Research new hardware / software products to acquire life cycle replacements and maintain software licenses.
    • Apply security patches and update Anti-Virus.
    • Work in a classified environment where there are government compliance audits.
    • Have a familiarity with network concepts, Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, client-server architectures, virtualization technologies, and basic troubleshooting concepts.
    • Independently identify relevant technologies/topics and learn new technical skills.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Typically requires 7 years of experience and an Associate degree in relevant discipline or a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
    • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
    • In accordance with DoD the selected individual must meet the requirements of an IAT Level II as a condition of employment and computing environment training/certification.
    • Security+ certification
    • 3-5 years relevant system administration experience
    • This position requires a minimum of % hybrid onsite presence.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • BS Degree in relevant discipline
    • 5-8 years relevant experience
    • Active TS/SCI Clearance
