Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration

:

Work closely with the team to understand the client's design requirements, objectives, and preferences. Collaborate on the conceptualization and development of design solutions that meet client needs and expectations.

Conceptualization and Design

:


Generate creative concepts and design layouts for various projects, including but not limited to large format print materials, vehicle wraps, and signage.

Ensure that designs are visually appealing, on-brand, and effectively communicate the intended message.

Color Management

:

Perform color management and color matching to ensure accurate and consistent color reproduction across printed materials. Adjust color settings as needed to achieve desired results and maintain color consistency throughout the printing process.

Project Management

:

Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Documentation

:

Maintain accurate documentation of project specifications, job orders, and production details.

Keep detailed records of materials used, printing settings, and any other relevant information to facilitate project tracking and future reference

Art Proof Preparation

:

Create and prepare art proof for client approval, incorporating feedback and revisions as necessary. Present proof clearly and professionally, ensuring that clients have a clear understanding of the final design before production.

File Preparation

:

Prepare production-ready files for printing using graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Ensure that files are formatted correctly and meet printing specifications. Prepare production schedules and final layouts, including instructions and notes, for the production team.

Operate Output Equipment

:

Operate large format printers, plotters, and cutters to produce high-quality prints according to client specifications. Utilize RIP software for output on multiple printers and ensure proper calibration and maintenance of printing equipment.

:

Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure design accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. Conduct thorough quality control checks throughout the printing process to ensure that printed materials meet quality standards and specifications.


Qualifications:

Education

:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED): and a degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.

Equivalent experience or vocational training may also be considered.

Experience

:

Demonstrated experience in graphic design, either through internships, freelance work, or previous employment. A strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, creativity, and range of work is required.

Creativity

:

A high level of creativity and the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts. You should have a keen eye for design aesthetics, typography, color theory, and layout principles.

Technical Skills

:

Proficiency in graphic design software and tools is essential. You should be comfortable using industry-standard software and keeping up to date with new design trends and technologies. A knowledge of Gerber Omega, Adobe Creative Suite, Onyx, and Thrive RIP software is essential.

Equipment

:

Proficiency in operating large-format printing equipment, flatbed printers, plotters, cutters, and laminators. Knowledge of maintenance procedures for print equipment to ensure optimal performance and print quality. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic repairs or adjustments as needed.

Effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with clients, understanding project requirements, and presenting design ideas. You should be able to articulate your design decisions and incorporate feedback from clients and team members.
