Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Outreach/Marketing Coordinator acts as the primary storyteller for Iredell Health System.

Working with the Director of Planning and Community Relations, they are responsible for finding and writing stories to share with the media, and also act as the social media manager for the system.

RequirementsJob Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field. Relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree for qualified candidates.
Journalism and healthcare experience preferred.

Proficiency in the use of computers and business software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc...) Proficient in Adobe design software, specifically Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator.

Proficient in Canva preferred.
Ability to make decisions independently and to resolve problems/conflicts in an effective manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Must be comfortable working with the media and crisis situations.
Video and video editing skills preferred.

Job Specific Standards:
Research, prepare, and submit news stories to local media on a regular basis (minimum of 4 times/month). Maintain files of all media coverage for Iredell Health System and produce monthly report of said coverage.
Assist with the development and execution of marketing and public relations strategies to support brand awareness, market saturation.
Prepare/design corporate newsletters, flyers, and other communications for both external and internal audiences.

Act as secondary Public Information Officer on a rotating basis and at other times, as needed, as directed by the Director of Planning and Community Relations.

Oversee social media platforms for Iredell Health System, ensuring content is updated regularly.
Assist Director of Planning and Community Relations as needed.
