- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support business goals and objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, and address any issues or concerns to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Analyze market trends, conduct cost analysis, and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, engineering, and finance, to understand business requirements and ensure alignment of procurement activities with organizational needs.
- Lead cross-functional teams in supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier performance evaluations.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to receipt of goods/services, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior procurement staff, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts, achieving cost savings, and improving procurement processes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
