- Support the Sales Manager in developing and executing sales, merchandising, and category plans
- Perform store inspections to ensure adherence to Imperial's Service Excellence standards.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of qualified candidates; Execute and monitor training plan; Evaluate trainees; Conduct meetings with direct reports on a regular basis.
- Maintain in-store service levels to acceptable standards; Ensure store service schedules are adhered to; Assist with store service as needed.
- Conduct in-person coaching trips with direct reports.
- Participate in merchandising tasks associated with remodels, new store set-ups, existing store updates, and annual category resets in assigned area.
- Ability to read and implement planograms.
- Fully support in-store execution priorities of Imperial customers.
- Control expenses within budget guidelines; Monitor and approve mileage, expense reports, and time keeping records; Ensure timely completion of all related paperwork.
- Review daily service reports from SSR's for designated customers/stores.
- Build relationships with store management and corporate teams to maximize sales opportunities; Assure customer satisfaction with Imperial.
- Work with Imperial procurement and customer service to insure flawless flow of goods management for new item launches, reserved goods, seasonal items, category resets, new store openings, and disposition plans for delisted SKUs.
- Check and approve Payroll and Expense Reports weekly
- Other duties as requested
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to pick up and move objects.
- Physical ability to safely perform job functions with or without aid of mechanical devises.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stop, reach.
- Requires manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to typing, filing and perform other administrative job functions (type, email, etc.).
- Ability to visit and walk stores 75% of time.
- Four year degree required (work related experience will be considered in place of formal degree)
- 2-5 years sales and merchandising experience with GM (general merchandise) and HBC (Health and Beauty Care) product categories
- 2-5 years of Account Management, Retail Sales Management, Category or Sales Analyst or Operations Management in experience in a retail environment
- Related Retail/Supermarket service experience or related store/route sales experience a plus.
- Travel 75% of the time
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Customer centric, highly motivated, and analytical thinker
- Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities Include:The Associate Account Manager is an entry level account management role.The Sales Manager will develop and mentor the Associate Account Manager to ensure that he/she execute these duties regularly and with high proficiency.
The Associate Account Manager will support, at the direction of the Sales Manager, key account responsibilities and administrative tasks essential to the execution and sales building process.
The Associate Account Manager will engage with all customers within the key geographic area.The Associate Account Manager will have direct responsibility for all aspects of sales execution, including the supervising of the Imperial service team within the retailer's stores, and maintaining the highest standards of the Imperial Service Program.The individual in this position will be responsible for assisting in the training of Sales Service Reps (SSR's), conduct store service audits on a regular basis to maintain established store service level standards.
The Associate Account Manager role will require frequent visits to retail locations, up to three days each week.Store visits may require overnight travel.The individual in this role will be responsible for merchandising tasks such as category resets and new store/remodel conversions, building key relationships with our customers and determining in-store execution priorities that support Imperial and the customer.The Associate Account Manager will directly support in-store coverage in the absence of an SSR.
