ABOUT THE JOB:

***The AutoCAD operator tasks are to create or edit technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations provided by the Engineering Department.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Draft and design new and existing products.
  • Support sales staff with submittal and production drawings.
  • Operates computeraided design (CAD) system
  • Confers with engineering to define design modifications
  • Keys in specified information to produce graphic representation hard copy of the design for review as well as approval by engineering staff
  • Enters specified information into a computer, using a keyboard, to generate approved design
  • Assist with project work as directed by Department Manager
  • Comply with all ParkUSA policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:


  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to create and modify drawings under strict timelines
  • Accuracy in data entry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a high mathematic and logical aptitude, especially with fractions and decimals as a unit of measure
  • Must be familiar with Millimeters and Inches as a unit of measure
  • Must be highly detailoriented and can solve problems with little guidance
  • Strong customer service skills, organizational skills,
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Ability to selfmanage and multitask
  • Ability to learn new programs
  • Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1+ years related experience with the ability to read & understand drawings and sketches and incorporate the information onto a software program used in the fabrication
  • Construction Industry preferred
