Description

LHH is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement role with a manufacturing client near Danville, IN. Join an industry leader with a strong track record of developing their engineering team and promoting from within. You will work with a variety of manufacturing equipment and product lines, lead projects to enhance results, implement Lean initiatives, and more. The salary is based on experience, ranging between $80,000-90,000 per year plus bonus. Benefits include comprehensive medical insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop effective manufacturing processes by evaluating product requirements, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment for desired results
Apply industry expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials
Identify and solve process operating issues, investigate equipment failures, and provide technical support to production associates
Conduct root cause analysis of quality problems during the manufacturing process
Work with operations and management to align on daily tasks and provide detailed reporting
Collaborate with maintenance, production, engineering, and contractors to enhance equipment care, services, repairs, and practices
Enhance manufacturing efficiency through workflow analysis, space optimization, and equipment layout planning
Find creative solutions to complex manufacturing issues
Assist the Engineering Manager with additional tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree in Engineering is required
Minimum of two years of manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with various manufacturing equipment on the production floor
Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Highly motivated and self-starting with the capacity to work independently
Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork
