    Description

    LHH is in search of a Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client near Lebanon, IN. This is a chance to be part of a leading company that has a solid history of developing their engineering team and providing opportunities for growth within the organization. You will get to work with various manufacturing equipment and product lines, take the lead on projects to enhance outcomes, implement Lean initiatives, and more. The salary is based on experience and will be in the range of $75,000-$90,000 per year plus a bonus, along with comprehensive medical insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops efficient manufacturing processes by assessing product requirements, designing, adjusting, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment to ensure desired outcomes
    • Apply industry expertise in product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials while collaborating with production teams
    • Identify and solve process operating issues, investigate equipment failures, create follow-up action reports, and provide technical support to floor workers
    • Perform root cause analysis of quality issues during the manufacturing process
    • Collaborate with operations and management to establish a common goal for daily tasks and report on those activities
    • Work with maintenance, production, engineering staff, and external contractors to enhance equipment care, services, repairs, and work practices
    • Enhance manufacturing efficiency through workflow analysis, space, and equipment layout optimization
    • Discover innovative solutions to tackle complex problems in the manufacturing process
    • Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is a must
    • Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment is required
    • Experience working on the production floor with various types of manufacturing equipment
    • Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams/schematics
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
    • Highly motivated, self-starter capable of thriving with minimal supervision
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
