TITLE:
Help Desk Agent


LOCATION:
Houston, TX


POSITION REPORTS TO:
Service Desk Manager


SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday.

7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Occasional overtime and weekends required. 9-80 work schedule option available


COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with skills and experience


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • First level support for telecom and network incidents
  • First level support for PC software, hardware, and mobile devices
  • User Account Administration
  • Mobile Application Support
  • Log all requests through the Help Desk Ticket System
  • Remote User Assistance
  • Learn and follow help desk processes
  • Participate in 24 / 7 weekly on call rotation which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays (to start after training)
  • Other duties as assigned by the Service Desk Manager

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to work on site (must live within 60 miles)
  • 1+ years in a technical support role, or a combination of experience and education
  • Ability to research incidents, diagnose problems, and communicate and implement effective solutions in a complex environment
  • Proficient in Active Directory and user administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 36
  • Proficient in PC hardware configuration and basic network troubleshooting
  • Proficient in network printing
  • Professional demeanor, friendly presence, and helpful attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Personal integrity and respect for confidential information
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a changing and growing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

PREFERRED

  • Experience in writing procedures and documentation
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager
  • Experience with Office 365 Sharepoint and Onedrive
