    Special Education Teachers - DIRECT HIRE
    Selby, South Dakota 57472

    A school district in South Dakota is partnering with Procare Therapy to help seek out a Special Education Teacher to be hired on directly for the 24/25 school year.

    All applicants must hold valid licensure in the state of South Dakota to work as a Special Education Teacher

    Special Education Teacher (2 positions, K-5 and 6-12+)
    • 9-month contract (175 days)
    • Provides direct SPED services in one school
    • Caseload is approximately 10-12 students
    • Disabilities include: autism, cognitive impairment, specific learning disabilities, other health impaired, emotional disability, etc.
    • Case manages, evaluates and provides services to school-age children
    • Supervises paraprofessionals working with children receiving SPED
    • Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
    • Must be organized and detail oriented
    Salary & Benefits
    • Base salary = $47,700
    • Additional pay for credits earned
    • $300 per year of experience up to 10 years
    • $6000 signing bonus paid out over 3 years
    • $500 moving expenses
    • Paid single health and dental insurance plans
    • Offer vision insurance at employee's expense
    • 15 (1styear) /10 sick days per year
    • 5 personal leave days per year
    • 1-2 professional leave days per year
    • 6% South Dakota retirement match
