  • Associates Degree in a related field. Three years of related experience or experience in a related field. Certifications may be required. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
    Nature & Purpose of Position
  • Performs advanced specialist duties for the Registrar's Office.
    Primary Responsibilities
  • Provides support and performs specific duties related to student registration. Responds to general registration and resource questions with knowledge and understanding of the student registration process. Assists students with adding, dropping, resigning and any steps associated with these processes. Assists in system upgrade testing, resolution process troubleshooting, and implementing changes as instructed by leadership. Collaborates with campus departments as required. Requires knowledge of state reporting and enrollment reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse and may assist with report submissions. Provides regular upkeep of data, meets project timelines and identifies issues with processes, and other support as needed. Coordinates, compiles, and evaluates data to ensure the efficiency of processes and services provided. Must be able to read and understand technical manuals, summarizing information gathered to enhance processes with collaborative team efforts. Makes recommendations to the supervisor regarding internal policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure effective and efficient operation. Attends and participates in all required training workshops provided by the department, division, and university. Prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes official university documents and reports. Conducts research for preparation and dissemination of information. May be responsible for planning, directing, and participating in special projects. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Requires basic understanding of office operations and system functionality with the ability to determine appropriate technology tools for tasks with demonstrated functional experience with Microsoft Office or similar productivity software. Must be capable and willing to share technical skills and knowledge with others. Requires the ability to identify problems and consider potential solutions. Accountable for the execution and follow through of complex and technical responsibilities. Requires a basic understanding of institutional policies, procedures, and resources, state and federal law, professional standards, student privacy issues, and student record keeping. Must be willing to seek out and rely on the expertise of others both to improve decisionmaking and as a means of expanding expertise. Must have verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and interact with others both individually and in groups. Must work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with a variety of constituents with an awareness of how one interacts with others. May be required to work beyond 40hour work week during peak student registration and endofterm periods.
  • Up to 20% of this position, over the fiscal year during offpeak periods, may be performed remotely as determined by the supervisor._
