We are currently seeking an energetic, outgoing individual to work as a Physical Therapy Aide in our outpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation therapy clinic/s (location may vary as needed).
This is the perfect opportunity for someone interested in attending Physical Therapy school or just looking to start a new career.
We offer on the job training in all therapeutic exercises.
You will work under close supervision of a Physical Therapist and will perform the delegated, selected, or routine tasks in specific situations.
- Cleaning and maintaining work areas. Organize and disinfect equipment after treatment/use.
- Observe patients during treatment. Document patient's responses and progress, and report to the physical therapist.
- Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients while they exercise and while they perform their functional activities, under the directions of the PT.
- Safely assist patients into or onto therapy plinths and/or exercise equipment.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing support while standing.
- Record treatment given and equipment used on the patient's flowsheet.
