- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
- accounts payable/receivable
- cash receipts
- general ledger
- treasury, budgeting
- revenue and expenditure variance analysis
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Meet financial accounting objectives.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Support the Controller in managing banking operations while maintaining internal controls over cash disbursements.
- Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions.
- Demonstrated analytical abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a service mindset.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or Business with 2+ years of Accounting Manager experience.
- 7+ years of general accounting experience. CPA not required but a plus to have.
- QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, Rent Manager and Avid Experience a plus.
- Experience with and knowledge of an integrated ERP system.
- Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.
